WelcomeMontreat Presbyterian Church has been connected to Bolivia for over twenty years supporting and encouraging Jake and Sarah Wetzel in their work at Camp Kewina through SIM, Dan and Carla Hardesty in development of Camp Yungas in LaPaz, Shawn and Lisa Stewart in development of La Red Nacional de Mundo Juvenil: and short term missionaries Bryant McEntire, Jenny Schermerhorn, and Leighton Pauly. In addition many short term mission teams have worked at Camp Kewina throughout the past twenty years.. As a group of people, many who have personally experienced this work, we want to connect others and further grow this relationship with Camp Kewina because of the good ministry and the life-changing impact of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also believe Montreat Presbyterian Church has done this ministry through all of these individuals. Whether individuals come or go, MPC is vitally connected to the country of Bolivia and specifically connedcted to Camp Kewina, Candelaria, and the training of Youth Leaders in the area surrounding Cochahamba. The last three mission teams also have been introduced to the adjacent village of Candelaria. We have sponsored and helped with Vacation Bible School, reaching out to the local children. We have seen the great needs of this poor village. We desire to partner with Montreat College and support them as student intern exchanges occur. This benefits the college, the camp, and expands the vision for missions. We desire to support this work financially, prayerfully, and experientially as we travel to Bolivia.
